Our Luggage is on its Way to Prague!

One of the ultimate travel luxuries is not having to deal with checking luggage with the airlines. This is especially true when traveling with a complex airline schedule. Our upcoming trip to Europe is just such a journey. We fly from DFW to Chicago on United, then from Chicago to Frankfurt on Lufthansa, then from Frankfurt to Nuremberg on Lufthansa! That's three opportunities that two different airlines have to lose our luggage!

We have used the services of Luggage Forward in the past, and have always had an excellent experience. After scheduling the shipment of our luggage through their website (LuggageForward.com), our shipping labels and instructions arrived within a few days. With labels attached, our two large duffle bags were ready to go when Fedex showed up right on time today. Our luggage is being shipped to our hotel in Prague. Granted, it will arrive a few days ahead of our arrival, but the hotel has agreed to store the luggage for us until we arrive. Cruise lines will also store your bags in advance of your arrival.

I will post an update on how our luggage arrives once we are in Prague. But for now, we don't have to be concerned about dealing with baggage claim or the prospect of lost luggage with the airlines!
