Day 5 - Oranjestad, Aruba

Today, ms Rotterdam is docked in Oranjestad, Aruba. Aruba is the “A” in the ABC Island chain and we have been fortunate to visit here on many cruises. Our morning begins with a visit to NY Deli & Pizza on Deck 10 midship. You may not know that NY Deli & Pizza serves breakfast until 11am.

We decided to try the Breakfast Bagel, which, as it turns out is made-to-order and is delicious. The Breakfast Bagel has a fried egg, slice of ham another slice of cheese on a toasted bagel. It is really good and we both enjoyed it. They also have bagels with cream cheese here, scrambled eggs, bacon and a few other breakfast items.

We disembarked Rotterdam in Orajestad just to do some souvenir shopping.

We could not resist getting our picture taken here. Talk about touristy.

We looked for a t-shirt for me, but nothing we could find in Large size that I liked.

We came back on board for Piña Coladas at Panorama Bar, which were good, but lacked any Pinapple slices or other “flair”.

Tried the pizza by-the-slice at NY Deli & Pizza and honestly, not that great. Soggy crust and really greasy. The made-to-order pizza should be a better choice.

This afternoon we are back at Billboard Onboard for afternoon trivia. We did not do so well today.

Dinner tonight at Pinnacle Grill. We will go into great detail about our dining experience here in our upcoming Dining Review video on our YouTube channel, so make sure you subscribe.

The show tonight was Humanity, which was a really great combination of technology and dance performed by the Step One Dance Company. Excellent show. Afterwards, Karlijn, our Cruise and Travel Director prepares us for what we can expect tomorrow in Bonaire.
