  • New bars and lounges to offer live entertainment and breath-taking views in chic and stylish surroundings

Geneva, Switzerland (May 6, 2021) — MSC Cruises today revealed new details of the dining experience on its newest flagship, MSC Seashore, launching this July and arriving to the U.S. this November. MSC Seashore will offer 18 bars and lounges — including 12 indoor and six outdoor venues — five specialty restaurants and four main dining restaurants, new restaurant and bar concepts, and additional outdoor venues and al fresco dining areas. Guests can taste a wide range of internationally-inspired cuisine in stylish venues — whether casual or formal dining — including prime steaks, fresh seafood, Mediterranean fare or authentic sushi.

“At MSC Cruises, we are constantly looking to elevate our guests’ vacation experience.  For MSC Seashore, we have reimagined the design to highlight a strong connection to the sea – the ship offers new venues, al fresco dining, brand-new restaurants and more outdoor space than any of our ships sailing from the U.S.,” said Rubén Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises USA. “We are thrilled to renew our commitment to delighting our guests in North America by bringing our newest and most innovative ships to the region. With nearly six months to go before MSC Seashore’s arrival in Miami in November, demand for cruising aboard this new ship continues to grow, and we expect it to accelerate as consumers plan their fall vacations.”

In addition to its dining, MSC Seashore’s public spaces have been entirely reimagined, with 65% of the ship redesigned to enrich the guest experience, with over 139,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space to offer new bars and restaurants as well as outdoor venues and lounge space, all meant to bring guests closer to the sea.

“We have taken the dining experience on MSC Seashore to the next level with carefully considered new options, both outdoors and in, that are fit for this spectacular flagship vessel,” said Food & Beverage Vice President Jacques Van Staden. “The goal of our talented in-house culinary team is to create something for every palate and preference, providing a diverse array of outstanding international culinary experiences. We are sure that the new dining concepts and incredible array of restaurants and bars will make for a truly memorable gastronomic experience for MSC Seashore guests.”

UnCruise Adventures Cruise Comeback for 2021 Starts Alaska Earlier Than Expected Due to Big Demand

The Leading Small Boat Company Moves Earlier Departures from Washington State to Juneau Bringing More People to Alaska Than Any Other Cruise Line

The Leading Small Boat Company Moves Earlier Departures from Washington State to Juneau Bringing More People to Alaska Than Any Other Cruise Line

SEATTLE, WA., May 3rd, 2021 – UnCruise Adventures, listed on the 2021 Conde’ Nast Traveller Gold List, has been a leader in small boat adventure cruising in Alaska for twenty-five years. Hit hard by COVID-19 the small boat adventure brand makes a significant comeback relaunching in Alaska earlier than expected due to high demand.

Over the weekend UnCruise Adventures quickly modified three Pacific Northwest sailings after Washington State COVID protocols affected departure dates. In place of a cancellation the company saved the long-awaited adventure cruises of dozens of guests offering them an alternative itinerary out of Juneau, covering guest airfare and hotels to ensure an unforgettable experience. The company’s CEO will also lead history walks through Juneau prior to each embarkation.

“When recent changes were made affecting our Seattle departures, I knew I could not disappoint our guests with another cancellation. Some of our guests have been waiting on this cruise for two or three years,” shares the company’s CEO, Dan Blanchard. “It makes me proud to see my team jump into action and ready to do what it takes to make this year one of the biggest comebacks we’ve ever had.”

May 7th will kick off the company’s first full sailing out of Juneau with even more adventure in Glacier Bay National Park. The full Alaska season will include six adventure itineraries of 22-86 guests, led by a fully vaccinated crew. The company’s recent policy requires all guests to provide proof of vaccination to embark on their adventure to the Great Land.

After a global cruise shut down, UnCruise Adventures emerges as a leader in the industry and continues to work with local, state, and national officials to progress travel initiatives and a much-needed boost of cruise lines to the state of Alaska.

Commenting on his company’s 2021 return, Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO of UnCruise Adventures states “After a challenging year, it is a remarkable moment to see this realized and look forward to a new day. We continue to win the trust of our partners and guests with our safety-first policies and our commitment to the return of a strong and healthy cruise industry.”

CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE, FEDERAL MARITIME COMMISSION, GALVESTON OFFICIALS PARTICIPATE IN CRUISE RESTART RALLY AT PORT OF GALVESTON

CarnivalPressConferenceVaccinations(c)2021RobertMihovil6849.jpg

GALVESTON, May 3, 2021 – In a unified showing of support to encourage the resumption of cruising in the U.S., Carnival Cruise Line joined members of the Federal Maritime Commission, Galveston city and port officials and local businesses at the Port of Galveston to highlight the economic impact of cruising in Galveston and throughout Texas.

The Port of Galveston at the Galveston Wharves is the fourth most popular cruise homeport in North America and the only cruise port in Texas. Galveston’s cruise business generates $1.6 billion in expenditures annually and 27,000 jobs statewide.

With Carnival Breeze and Carnival Vista providing a stunning backdrop, speakers described the dramatic effect that the 14-month pause in operations has had on local businesses that rely so heavily on the cruise industry.  Speakers included:

  • Carnival President Christine Duffy

  • Galveston Mayor Dr. Craig Brown

  • FMC Commissioners Louis E. Sola and Carl W. Bentzel

  • President Ad Interim UTMB Partnership Dr. Ben Raimer

  • Port of Galveston Director/CEO Rodger Rhees

  • Chairman, Board of Trustees, Port of Galveston Albert Shannon

  • International Longshoremen’s Association President Alan Robb

  • Vacations2Go CEO Emerson Hankamer

  • Galveston Park Board CEO Kelly de Schaun

  • Bay Houston Towing Company President Philip Kuebler

  • Galveston Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Gina Spagnola

In addition, U.S. Senator John Cornyn also sent a video message which can be viewed here.

Underscoring the cruise line’s strong desire to resume operations, crew members from Carnival Vista and Carnival Breeze received COVID-19 vaccinations on site from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

“Today was yet another significant milestone in our efforts to resume cruising in the U.S.,” said Duffy.  “We’ve said all along that we would like the cruise industry be given equal treatment of other travel and hospitality companies and this event sent a strong and unified message that we need to start sailing again.”

Added Galveston Mayor Dr. Brown, “Cruising is so critical to the Galveston economy and today’s event clearly demonstrated our community’s desire that cruising return to bring much-needed visitors and jobs back to our community.  Galveston has grown to become one of the top homeports for seagoing vacations and the time is right to resume cruising and all the wonderful benefits it brings to our city.”

Carnival Cruise Line is the number one cruise operator from Galveston and the only cruise operator with three year-round ships at the port.   Carnival Vista, Carnival Breeze and Carnival Dream operate 175 voyages annually from Galveston, carrying an estimated 750,000 passengers a year.

Galveston is part of the line’s close-to-home deployment strategy in which ships are deployed near large U.S. population bases, making it easy, affordable and convenient for guests to get to and from their cruise.   As America’s Cruise Line, Carnival operates from 14 U.S. homeports – the most in cruising - on the East and West Coasts and Gulf of Mexico.
