G Adventures Adds Three New Expedition Cruise Itineraries for Travel in Arctic Norway

Early booking bonuses for 2017 travel also launched

May 26, 2016 (Boston, MA) – G Adventures is introducing three new itineraries for 2017 travel in Norway onboard its expedition ship, G Expedition, in response to customer demand for cruises in the area.

The small group, small ship adventure travel operator is also offering a 15% early booking bonus for these trips, as well as for all other 2017 Longyearbyen, Svalbard itineraries, to encourage travelers to book early and secure their preferred itinerary, date and cabin category.

Ben Perlo, U.S. Managing Director for G Adventures, suggests that traveling Norway by ship is one of the most memorable and comfortable ways to see the Scandinavian country’s famed wild coast.

“Norway’s Arctic coastline is stunningly beautiful and the fjords are ideal for expedition cruising. Once on board our G Expedition ship, travelers can unpack once, sit back, and take in the incredibly scenic landscapes views right off deck.”

G Adventures’ early booking discount is valid for all bookings made before June 30, 2016 and applies to Norwegian and Artic itineraries departing between May 11, 2017 and August 11, 2017.

“Our Norwegian Fjords Expedition cruises are growing in popularity among American travelers who are considering destination security and dollar value for their adventurous vacations, ” added Perlo. “So we’re very glad to be able to offer them more opportunities to experience this special place, especially given the strength of the U.S. dollar overseas right now.”

The three new Norwegian itineraries for 2017, which range from 8-15 days in length, are:

The G Expedition is a smaller ship with the capability to get in and out of ports that larger ships cannot. It was completely refurbished in 2009 and outfitted with brand new engines in 2015. The vessel’s spacious quarters can comfortably accommodate up to 134 passengers with plentiful common areas and private spaces for rest and retreat, plus observation decks that provide panoramic views of the distinctive landscapes of some of the world’s most remote regions.

With G Adventures-trained Chief Experience Officers on board (local guides) and a passenger-to-crew ratio of about 10 to 1, the G Expedition also hosts spacious cabins that each feature ocean-facing windows or portholes, along with private en-suite facilities, climate control, a shared library, a lounge, a pub, and a computer room with limited internet connectivity.
