The Cape Grace Hotel is a Cape Town landmark and one of The Leading Small Hotels of the World. The newly refashioned luxury hotel delivers all the creature comforts you'd expect from a world-class luxury accommodation and lots of little extras, too. Proudly situated in the iconic center of Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, on it's very own private quay - Cape Town's most popular shopping and tourist attractions are all easily within reach.
Cape Grace provides guests with a tantalizing experience that melds modern luxury with traditional Cape culture, each of the 121 individually custom-decorated guest rooms and suites brings the charm of Cape Town to life.
A nautical theme has been carried throughout the property’s décor. Each floor of the hotel features wonderful displays of antiques on the walls and in the elevator landings. Our room was spacious, offered lots of storage and a large marble bathroom with separate tub and shower facilities. The walk-in closet area featured a dressing table with a vanity stool. The window looked out over a picturesque marina jammed with colorful sailboats and we also had a wonderful view of Table Mountain. It is no wonder that the Cape Grace is a popular spot for cruise line guests. You could even walk to the ship from the hotel!
It is unfortunate that we had so little time to enjoy this incredible property. We arrived at The Cape Grace around 5:30 pm and had to depart early the next morning. The incredible location of the hotel found us spending most of the evening wandering around The Waterfront's shopping and restaurants. Even though our time at Cape Grace was short, we can vouch for its comfort and great location. Our suite was large, quiet and very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning in The Signal restaurant. Both service and food were excellent.
It is no wonder that Cape Grace is such a popular pre-/post-cruise hotel property. The hotel is located less than five minutes walking distance from the pier where the cruise ships dock. If your cruise embarks or disembarks in Cape Town, spoil yourself by booking two or three nights extra at The Cape Grace. It is the perfect hotel from which to base your Cape Town excursions.
